About

Hi!  I'm Jaadin Andersen.

Licensed Massage Therapist & owner of Finger Lakes Massage Therapy in Geneva, NY.

I am a mother to two girls (2014 & 2017). I have a degree in intercultural studies and art. I spent the first part of my post graduate life in customer service, waitressing and managing offices in Brooklyn, NY, until my oldest was born. When we moved back upstate to Geneva, NY I worked as an in-home caregiver. I knew I wanted a different career where I could continue to help others. I graduated massage school in 2019 from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Rochester, NY.

While I was pregnant with my first born, I suffered from debilitating back spasms and couldn't move. Massage was the only thing that allowed me to function. After the experience of living with chronic pain, I knew that is how I wanted to help more people. Now, my goal is to help others be free from the pain that keeps them from living their lives to the fullest.

I am passionate about helping others experience pain relief and my goal is to help you get rid of your pain and to get back to living your life!

Please feel free to reach out to me via phone or email, look forward to connecting with you soon!

Common Questions

How often is too often for massages?

You should go at least once per month, but as often as twice per week can be beneficial in severe pain situations. It will  aid in healthy tissue repair and reduce pain felt from the intensive workouts that the body is going through. Massage will also help with the accumulation of work-related stress

Should I talk during my massage?

It is your session. if you'd like to talk go right ahead.

The important issue here is that there are times when you need to speak up. If the therapist is doing anything to make you uncomfortable, you should let her/him know immediately. Also, let him/her know if you get too warm or too cold, if the room is too bright, or if the pressure needs to be changed (lighter or deeper). If something is not working for you - speak up! It's OK!

Do I have to be completely undressed?

You should undress to the level you are comfortable. For a full body massage, most get completely undressed. However, if you will be more comfortable during the session if you leave your underwear on, that's fine. The therapist will work around the clothes you left on as best as he/she can. You will have privacy to undress and get comfortable on the table.

Will the massage hurt?

This depends on the type of massage and the depth of the strokes. A light, relaxing massage that doesn't probe very deep into the muscles, shouldn't hurt. With that being said, there is a 'feels good' hurt and an 'ouch, stop it' hurt. A good massage, even a really deep tissue massage, should always stay in the 'feels good' hurt range.

Pain can be an indication that the muscle is possibly injured or inflamed and pressure should be adjusted. Also, pain can cause you to tighten up and negate the relaxing effects of the massage. The most effective and deepest massage always works with your body's natural response, not against it.

When should I not get a massage?

You should not book a massage if you have a fever, cold/flu, or contagious skin infection, spreading rash such as poison ivy.

There are many other conditions that may need adapted techniques (i.e. arthritis or osteoporosis) or avoid an area completely (i.e. cuts or burns). Some conditions may need approval from your physician. (cancer, certain heart conditions). This doesn't mean you can't get massage. But its always better to err on the side of caution.

What if my body makes noises or other functions happen?

As your body relaxes it is completely normal to have body functions and gurgling noises from the stomach or fluctuance. Any other bodily functions are also normal and can happen. As long as it does not need immediate attention the session will continue without interruption. I do have a zero tolerance policy and any sexual advances, innuendo, or inappropriate touching is grounds for immediate termination of your session.

What The Customers Are Saying

JESSICA R

“Jaadin was absolutely amazing. I have a very hard time finding someone who would actually get into the muscles good enough to push out the knots and she knew exactly what to do.”

Krissi R.

I have not had this good of a massage in a very long time. I had started to give up on massages but she restored my love of a good massage. Excellent. Very professional. I just wish I didn’t live so far away!

Breanne K.

Jaadin is very professional, highly skilled, and tailors your massage to your current problem areas. She found each knot I didn't even realize I had and recommended stretches for my common pain/knot areas.

Deborah J.

Jaadin is wonderful and truly skilled at manual lymphatic drainage massage. I had gotten this type of massage prior to meeting Jaadin but wasn't a full believer until she worked her magic on me. After my session with Jaadin, I felt considerably less swollen after a long plane ride and felt my healing progress from a surgery three months prior more in days after seeing Jaadin than I in the full 3 months before.
